Who is responsible for your data

The controller of personal data collected through misus.pl is Maciej Jancz, operating this website under the MISUS brand, Niewierowo 32, 76-200 Słupsk, Poland. For all privacy matters you can write to kontakt@misus.pl.

This website is a professional portfolio and contact point. It does not sell anything online, has no checkout, no online payments and no user accounts.

Contact form

The contact form collects:

  • Name
  • Company (optional)
  • Email address
  • Your answer to "What are you looking for?"
  • The content of your message

No telephone number is collected. The form is used only so that an employer, company or potential client can reach me.

Your information is processed in order to:

  • answer your enquiry,
  • discuss potential employment,
  • discuss potential contractor or freelance cooperation,
  • take steps at your request before a possible agreement is concluded.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the exchange concerns steps taken at your request before entering into an agreement, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (my legitimate interest in replying to enquiries addressed to me and in keeping a record of business correspondence) in other cases. I do not rely on consent for answering your message, because another legal basis applies.

Technical data

When you open the website, standard technical information is processed as part of normal website operation: IP address, browser and device information, the date and time of the request, the requested address and similar server or security log entries. This is done for website operation, security, stability and abuse prevention, on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Cookies and local storage

This website does not use analytics, advertising or marketing cookies. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no Hotjar and no advertising trackers. Only strictly necessary technical storage required to deliver and secure the pages may be used, which does not require your consent. If optional analytics is ever added, it will be loaded only after you give consent.

Service providers

I use a small number of providers that may process data on my behalf as processors:

  • the hosting and edge infrastructure that serves misus.pl (server and security logs, delivery of the pages),
  • the transactional email service used to deliver contact-form submissions to my mailbox,
  • Zoho Mail, the provider of the kontakt@misus.pl mailbox.

Contact-form submissions are delivered by email. They are not stored in a separate customer database on this website.

Transfers outside the EEA

Some of these providers operate global infrastructure and may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the mechanisms required by Chapter V GDPR, in particular the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

External links

The WhatsApp button is a plain link. If you follow it, you are taken to an external service operated by WhatsApp/Meta, which processes your data under its own privacy policy and terms. No WhatsApp widget, script or tracker runs on this website, so simply opening a page here does not contact WhatsApp.

How long data is kept

Enquiries that do not lead to cooperation are kept for up to 12 months from the last message, so that I can follow up on the conversation, and are then deleted. Where an actual agreement is concluded, related data is kept for the periods required by tax, accounting and limitation rules. Server and security logs are kept for a short technical period only.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

  • access your data and receive a copy,
  • have inaccurate data corrected,
  • have your data deleted,
  • restrict processing,
  • object to processing based on legitimate interest,
  • data portability, where the processing is based on a contract or consent,
  • withdraw consent at any time, where a specific processing activity actually relies on consent,
  • lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw).

To exercise any of these rights, write to kontakt@misus.pl.

Providing your data

Providing your name, email address and message is voluntary, but without them I cannot reply to your enquiry.

Automated decisions

I do not use automated decision-making or profiling in relation to people who contact me through this website.
